ESIA is a process for predicting and assessing the potential environmental and social impacts of a proposed project, evaluating alternatives and designing appropriate mitigation, management and monitoring measures.

ESIA is an aid to decision-making as it presents decision-makers with the information necessary to determine whether or not a proposed development/project satisfies environmental requirements and is therefore feasible or not.

With the ever-increasing global demand for the preservation of our environment, the ESIA process is a statutory requirement for eligible developments.
